A recent survey of 373,000 apartment residents from 5336 professionally managed communities explored resident priorities. This survey was conducted by the National Multifamily Housing Council in partnership with Kingsley Associates. As the owner of multiple multifamily properties, it is important to know what tenants want and care about. Amenities and services may vary per asset class. Some of the features and amenities may not be in the control of the owner or out of reach (based on asset class). The following are lower cost priorities that tenants are passionate about.
1. Mobile connectivity is a must, and in fact 44% of renters consider cell reception to be a deal breaker.
